Ole Miss- SEC

Departed coach/record: Matt Insell, 5 seasons (70-87 overall, 18-62 in the SEC, two WNIT appearances)

Season-by-season record:
2013-14: 12-20 (2-14)
2014-15: 19-14 (7-9) WNIT third round
2015-16: 10-20 (2-14)
2016-17: 17-14 (6-10) WNIT first round
2017-18: 12-19 (1-15)

Reason for departure: Insell, then 30-years-old, took over an Ole Miss program that was in disarray after it was hit with sanctions stemming from violations from the previous staff. After taking a step forward in year 2, then another seemingly positive step in year 4, everything fell apart this season. Ole Miss finished in last place three out of the five seasons with Insell as head coach and the success of rival Mississippi State certainly didn’t help matters.

New coach/previous position: Yolett McPhee-McCuin, head coach, Jacksonville
