Kaylee Jensen was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team, but this is her first time earning POW honors this season. The senior leader has had some help being the third different Cowgirl to pick up a weekly honor from the conference this season.

Jensen averaged 22.5 points, 15.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists as the Cowgirls opened Big 12 play 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. In the victory over K-State, Jensen became just the fourth Big 12 player to score 19 points, grab 18 rebounds and dish out four assists in a league game.

Shania Pellingotn led all Big 12 freshman last week with 19.5 points and 3.0 rebounds, as the Sooners went 1-1. She tied a season-high 23 points and connected on 9-14 (64.3%) from the field in a road victory at Iowa State.

The Pickering, Ontario, native leads all Big 12 freshmen in scoring and field goal percentage during the regular season with 12.9 points per game and a .540 shooting percentage. Pellington’s 19.5 points a game in league play ranks sixth in the conference and leads all Big 12 freshmen.
