Connecticut Sun forwards Morgan Tuck (knee contusion) and Lynetta Kizer (back) will not play Friday night in New York against the Liberty, the team has announced.

Tuck has not played since the Sun’s May 28 win at Chicago, but has posted 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds over five total games. Kizer last played on June 3 in San Antonio and is averaging just under 10 points and five rebounds over 19 minutes per game.

Neither played in Connecticut’s 96-76 blowout win over the Liberty last week, but Courtney Williams picked up the slack by going off for 22 points on 8-11 shooting. As a team, the Sun shot 51 percent from the field and 47 percent from three.

Despite being short handed, Connecticut has won four games in a row and five out of its last six. The Sun will go for five straight in a 7:30 p.m. tip-off Friday at Madison Square Garden.
